HUFFICRATS & HUFFICANS

ON THE SCORCHED EARTH POLICY OF HUFFICANS:

Your Mittiot can understand the fear of the Hufficrats (Ref: last posting) in a Mitt Romney nomination but the "Hufficans" need a bit of a reminder of what happens when you drink the Kool-aid. Reagan was no idiot - this goes without saying - so why does invoking his 11th Commandment fall on such finger-plugged ears? The candidates get it. . . for the most part, but the surrogates and posers are falling into the trap we Republicans absolutely perfected:
Attack the foe; wound them with fact; make them defend themselves publicly; allow the others of their party to tear them up, critically wounding the eventual nominee.
NOTE TO FELLOW PARTISAN BLOGGERS: The Hufficrats have the Media on their side - we need not do anymore of their job for them. Your Mittiot has personally - being smarter than the average blogger, thank you very much - refrained from taking the cheap personal shots at our GOP candidates. And, trust me, there is a lotta low hangin' fruit out there on the campaign circuit - it just does not serve the end game (a REPUBLICAN PRESIDENT, SENATE and HOUSE) in any fashion to go pickin' it. Let the Hufficrats grasp for it - it's expected.

ON THE BOSTON GLOBE PIECE ON MITT ROMNEY:

GREAT 7 PIECE SERIES ON THE NEXT PRESIDENT OF THE UNITED STATES. . . it almost makes up for the terrible, cheap shot, Hufficrat coverage of the Globe thus far. . .

ON THE CHURCH OF THE LATTER DAY SAINTS:

First off, Mormons consider themselves Christians and no organization or individual - not the Pope, nor Archbishop of Canterbury - has the exclusive right to determine what a "proper Christian" is or does. . . the bottom, factual, documented, line: Mormons believe "Christ is our saviour and our salvation" any other questions to the Faith really becomes inconsequential. However, for those who need to educate themselves on the Mormon Religion as it relates to politics, check the links below (pay close attention to the definition of "Cult" and ask yourself what your congregation does that doesn't follow the ORIGINAL tenants of Christianity):

THE NUMBERS ARE IN. . .

ON MITT'S SECOND QUARTER:

. . . well, they've been in. Hey there fellow Mittiots, as expected, the Romney Team pulled in an impressive amount for the 2nd quarter. With Mitt's personal contribution to Romney Campaign Committee, we added another 20.5 million to the war chest. Some will scoff that with out the extra 6.5 out of the family's account Mitt came in behind Rudy - What a Million less? Rudy G. is "thee darling of the GOP" - as the nay sayers continue to point out - nationally on top of the charts. So, what does that tell you? And, not to quibble, but in "primary" dollars raised this year Mitt's way out ahead - that's sans his personal contributions. Romney is going to win. Numbers article below:

ON MCCAIN WHO?

But seriously, your Mittiot knows that McCain-iacs take defeat HARD (witness the 2000 General Election) but if we're going to continue to fight the Jihadists "over there" so we don't have to fight them over here; if we're going to continue to grow economically as a country; if we're going to protect the true American tenants of limit government, traditional family protections, freedom in faith, and assumption of personal responsibility - all ideals John McCain stands for - and if for some reason Senator McCain doesn't make it to the Primary season, then we Mittiots will need the McCain-iacs to join TeamRomney! And, we make the same pledge to you. . . If Clinton gets into "our House" everyone one - EVERY ONE - of the principles above will be threatened. Republican to Republican, we wish your team the courage to go forward but we also wish you the wisdom to know when to stop. McCain Article attached:

OH, AND ON THE PORNOGRAPHY "SCANDAL:"

HA! All your Mittiot can say to the "Huffi-crats" (a new term I just coined) is, "Keep graspin', just keep on graspin'. . ." Look that article up for yourself - it's a hoot. Mitt's connection to Marriott hotel's connection to the patron's connection to the decision to watch nudie films in their room connection - yep, Mitt's a real Massachusetts Larry Flint. Keep graspin'.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY AMERICA!

ON THE 4th OF JULY:

Mitt Romney continues to shine! Your Mittiot was doing a little late night channel surfing and caught Mitt on C-Span in Iowa. Principle, Conviction, Presence, and a plan for the country. With individuals like Mitt running, I believe our country is secure and we'll witness more than a few more birthdays to come. Having said this, however, your Mittiot was a bit surprised (never shocked) to see that significantly more Republicans believe America is the greatest the country in the world compared to their Democrat counterparts (96%-74% respectively). Full poll here:

http://www.foxnews.com/story/0,2933,161221,00.html

My only question is to the 30% of partisans polled who don't believe America is the best country in the world, "Which country is better than the U.S.?" Michael Moore need not reply, I know to you, EVERY country is better than the United States of America.

Something to chew on when talking to a Lefty - there's a 1 in 4 chance your statements of patriotism are falling on deaf ears. . .

THAT DOG DON'T HUNT. . .

ON DOG STORY NOT GROWING LEGS. . .

. . . which is probably why "that dog don't hunt. . ." Just catching up fellow Mittiots. I don't have numbers on Mitt's quarter tally, but I bet (just bet) we're going to be impressed, again. I wanted to lead with that smug, impressive, told-you-so, "Mitt's on top of the fundraising race" topic, BUT . . . As such, your Mittiot found himself surfing around the TeamRomney site's link to "Mitt in the Media" to see what news was out there RE: our next president. And, what did I find?

NOTHING. . . well nothing worth bloggin' about, anyway.

The news cycle, however, was full of desperate Lefties trying to tack on some bit of bad news that just won't stick. Mitt's no Teflon-Bill, but when you have a positive attitude and refuse to be unreasonably riled, the veiled liberal literary attempt to "see what sticks" is dutifully unmasked and rebuffed (put that in your "fairness-doctrine" pipe, ketchup boy). For instance, some rag actually titled the 24 year old story of the family pet riding on top of the family vehicle - IN A DOG KENNEL DESIGNED FOR SUCH - as "Doggie-Gate." - That's funny. One Liberal-Lefty blogger went as far as to state something like: "If you don't make your kids do it, you have no business making your dog do it. . ." Oh really? Would someone please break the news to the Lil' Mittiot that he has to start poopin' in the yard - because our Irish Setter, Riley, simply refuses to use the toilet. "Doggie-Gate?" - that is funny. . .

Keep grasping. . .

"WHICH WAY TO THE TOILET?"

~ so sayeth the Mittiot. "BARK, BARK," (and the Riley).
